""always wanted to be a VJ..presenting VEEJAY 1.4.3""

...Apheion...

So, now there are things in this world that can really astonish us...I had taken this piano course(read:keyboard) last summer and it took me a month to get my fingers moving over the tunes of just one bollywood track, and those too just one hand fingers..my left hand just provided support to my rear portion which used to get tired by the grueling sitting schedule.

Now imagine playing a video on your system like u play the keyboard!

VEEJAY 1.4.3:

Veejay is a visual instrument and real-time video sampler. It allows you to "play" the video like you would play a piano. While playing, you can record the resulting video directly to disk (video sampling). Veejay can be operated live by using the keyboard (which is completely user definable) or remotely over TCP/IP. Veejay can be used to manipulate video in a realtime environment such as visual performances or for (automated) interactive video installations.

You can cluster to allow a number of machines to work together over the network (uncompressed streaming, veejay chaining) And much

The engine is historically based upon mjpegtools’s lavplay and processes all video in YUV planar It performs at its best, currently with MJPEG AVI (through ffmpeg) or one of veejay’s internal formats. Veejay is built upon a servent architecture.

I was personally amazed by its architecture and would recommend it to anyone who likes to fiddle around with their videos and have that multimedia stint in them...just go and get veejay!
